As a kid my family traveled often to upstate New York from our house near NYC for weekend visits to my grandmother’s country house in the Catskills. Sometimes we found ourselves road tripping to Lake George or Woodstock. Haven’t been to Lake George in years and on this pre forth of July visit, was excited to see as much as things have changed, they really have not. Since moving to Florida years ago, coming to NY in the Summers is the dose of home I long for all year. On one of my first days of this Summer visit, a ride with mega talented interior designer Krista Wostbrock to photograph a recent project for her portfolio and an editorial feature was just what was needed! The incredible lakefront property built in the 30’s and restored so pristinely, sat perched upon a hillside overlooking Lake George. After a tour of the estate, we made our way to a lakefront room with floor to ceiling windows and slate floors that Krista had recently transformed into a serene yet invigorating family gathering spot. A gorgeous mix of pale pear accents, camels, creams, grays, and timeless black and white. As always, a blast collaborating and shutting for this stellar, young designer. Our main intent was capturing the sprawling symmetry of the entire space, secondarily providing accompanying vignettes.
